Sex and Relationship Education/ Family Life Education
Sex and Relationship education is based on the Catholic Framework and revolves around the sanctity of love and marriage. As children move through the school their sex education is geared to their stage of development, allowing the children to develop a growing awareness of themselves, their place in society and their relationships with others. Our policy is that children in Y5 and Y6 have specific lessons on Puberty and Human Reproduction, respectively. Parents are invited to meetings to hear the content of lessons and view resources.
Homework is set in the Infant Department during the week, which consists of reading, spelling and basic numeracy.
The Junior children will be asked to complete certain tasks at home during the course of the week. They will also be expected to know all their tables by the end of Year 4. Homework will increase in Years 5 & 6.
