What is the Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium is funding to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children can face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and may perform as well as other pupils.
What is the Pupil Premium for?
The Government believes that this additional funding for schools will provide more equal opportunities for pupils from low-income backgrounds compared with their friends who live in families with higher incomes. The main aim will be to raise attainment for pupils from low-income families.
What have we used this additional money for?
At SS John & Monica Catholic Primary School, we are committed to providing equal opportunities for all our pupils, regardless of their background. Our goal is to create an environment where every student can achieve success.
Schools can allocate the Pupil Premium funds in ways that best address the needs of underperforming pupils from low-income families. At SS John & Monica Catholic Primary School, we've chosen to invest in a variety of opportunities, including booster classes, out-of-hours learning sessions, creative arts experiences, and residential visits, to name a few.
