School Council

At SS John & Monica’s we have an active School Council who are made up of a group of pupils from Year 1 – Year 6 and who are elected by the children in their class to represent them. Their main aim is to make improvements to the school by listening to the children in their class and sharing their ideas in school council meetings with other and the School Council Lead Miss Geoghegan.

The School Council meets regularly and gives pupils many opportunities to share ideas and make contributions to make our school a better place. They learn to take part in meetings, listen, take notes, debate issues, think about budgets, prioritise spending, organise fundraising, feed back information to their classes, meet with various school stakeholders e.g the Head Teacher, Catering Manager and oversee projects.

SS John & Monica Catholic Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
